Editorial standards
The joke answers to the facts
Accuracy
Every published story needs a defensible factual brief and source link. We correct errors promptly. Satire does not excuse a false factual premise.
Independence
Story selection and editorial conclusions are not sold to sources, political groups, advertisers, or platforms. Gifts, payment, or a personal conflict that could affect coverage must be disclosed.
Harm
Death, murder, suicide, assault, abuse, war, terrorism, harmful disasters, explicit sexual content, and private grief are excluded from automatic humor. Serious coverage requires an editorial reason, neutral treatment, and review.
Minors
We do not sexualize minors, speculate about their private lives, or use them as targets of ridicule. Material involving a child receives heightened review and is normally excluded.
Privacy
Public figures may be satirized about public conduct. Private people are not fair targets. We do not publish private contact details, medical information, or intimate material without an overriding public-interest reason.
Attribution
Facts link to their reporting source. Embedded videos and creator posts identify the platform or publisher. Original Jester artwork is labeled as AI-assisted where applicable.
Satire
The factual brief and Jester's take remain visually separate. Fabricated dialogue cannot be presented as a real quote. Adult celebrity gossip may be playful, but allegations of crime, abuse, or harm require evidence and mandatory review.
Advertising separation
Advertising does not determine coverage. Ads are withheld from thin, video-only, sensitive, exception-review, mandatory-review, and noindex pages. Sponsored content, if introduced, will be labeled clearly and kept outside editorial selection.
